Handmade pottery vases and ikebana vessels
Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging a very few stems so that line and empty space carry the composition. The low, wide-mouthed vessels here are thrown for exactly that, most with a pin frog well or a narrow neck to hold a stem at an angle. The taller vases suit cut garden flowers and dried grasses from the North Woods. Every piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so no two match precisely.
