Since we opened our shoppe, we have been looking for a candle company that had certain elements and were not found in every store at every turn. We wanted a clean and simple elegance in its presentation along with quality ingredients. We were delighted to find Maine Mountain Soap and Candle Company based at Moosehead Lake in Maine. From using beeswax from a local beekeeper to using glass containers made in the US, their soy and beeswax candles have pure ingredients such as essential oils along with cotton wicks. Their line of soaps are all –natural and vegetable based blended with shea butter, organic oils, beeswax, vitamin E and essential oils. You’ll find the fragrances to be simply refreshing and uplifting!

This husband and wife team has had the honors of creating a jug as a gift to Queen Elizabeth II from the Jamestown Settlement Foundation on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown Settlement. This gift was presented to the Queen on Friday, May 4, 2007 during her visit to the Settlement in Virginia.
