Deep Forest Birch Serving Board - 400 Year Old Wood
An end-grain board like nothing you have ever seen before. The wood in this server began life as a tree in the Great Northwoods about 400 years ago. A casualty of the legendary 19th century log drive, it broke loose and sank to the bottom of one of the North American Great Lakes. Time and ice-cold water prevented decay. Over time, the wood was transformed to the remarkable colors and unique grain pattern found in this server. Available in birch (bottom board in photo), no two pieces are the same.
The serving board measures 12 in x 12 in x 3/4 in. It is not to be used as a cutting board. To clean, wash in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. This one-of-a-kind board is a beautiful addition to your buffet table.
These environmentally approved pieces have been certified by SCS as salvaged and reclaimed material.
